FAQs

Do I need an appointment to try on dresses?

Yes, we do require all brides to have an appointment to try on gowns and/or accessories & do not allow walk-ins.

Why does Joon charge for appts?

At Joon, we operate different in all ways. How so? When we say personalized, we mean it. Each appointment is precisely focused on the bride herself which is why we allow 1.5 hours for you & your crew to have the whole shop to yourselves. Due to the nature of our appointments, we now require a standard non-refundable $50 booking fee for first-time bridal appointments. Booking fees may be used as credit towards your gown purchase.*

*$50 booking fee credit valid up to 14 days after bride’s first-time bridal fitting appointment.

What are your shop hours?

Our appointment availability flexes by season - please refer to our online scheduling system to view available appointments. Questions? Email Anna@JoonBridal.com

How do I schedule an appointment?

Head to our appointment page, pick an appointment type and a date & time that works for you. (Note, if your preferred date/time is unavailable, shoot us an email as our schedule often changes.) Once you fill out some wedding details & click submit, you’ll receive an email confirming your appointment. Lastly, during the week of your appointment, we will contact you to set up a quick phone call to chat through all the things. Our goal is to make your shopping experience special, intimate & effective.

What is Joon’s price point?

Our price range at Joon is between $2100-$5000, with the majority of our gowns around $2700.

How far in advance should I begin dress shopping?

We recommend that brides begin their search 9-12 months in advance & purchase 8-10 months before your wedding date. This allows time for the production of your gown (4-6 months), alterations (1-2 months) & peace of mind (ah-ha, priceless!).

How long does it take to receive my gown?

Standard timing for gown production is 16-24 weeks. If you need something sooner - don’t fret, each designer does provide rush options. Please note, that fees associated with rush timing vary by designer.

What size gowns are available to try on?

Our sample gowns range from size 8 to 14, however, we can order gowns for brides size 00 to 30. If you have any questions regarding sizing before your appointment, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Do you have a specific gown that I love?

If there is a specific gown that you love, do not hesitate to ask if we have her in the shop! If we do not carry a specific gown that you’re interested in, we can often organize our designers to send us a loaner for your appointment-- just give us a bit of notice in order for us to make arrangements.

What is a trunk show & how do they work?

A trunk show allows brides to view a broader selection of gowns from a specific designer during a designated period of time. Even better, we typically offer 10% off show gowns during the event only. Win-win.

Do I need to bring anything to my appointment?

Just an open mind with the intention to have a good ole’ time! But really, there is nothing that you need to bring with you to have a successful appointment. If you plan to wear shapewear or specific undergarments on your wedding day, feel free to bring those, but it’s absolutely not necessary as we will typically talk through the best undergarment options after you find your gown.

How many guests can I bring?

Because of the intimate nature of our shop, we ask that you limit your guest count to 4 and under, 5 including the bride!

Will I need alterations & do you offer them at Joon?

Brides will almost always need alterations in order for your wedding gown to fit your body like a glove. Once you purchase a gown, we will take your measurements, compare those to the specific designer’s size chart & order a size that is closest to your measurements. If you are in-between sizes, we will recommend that you order a larger size as it is always easier to take a gown in, than to let it out. Don’t worry – all of this will be discussed in detail at your appointment. We do not offer in-store alterations, however, we will provide recommendations for a great, local seamstress.

What is your cancellation/refund policy?

We do require a $50 booking fee when you schedule your appointment. However, we understand that plans can change. We ask that you cancel your appointment 72 hours prior to your appointment in order to be refunded your booking fee. No refunds will be provided for any cancellations within 72 hours of your appointment or if you simply do not show up.

Does Joon carry bridesmaids / MOB attire?

So sorry, we do not! Currently, we love focusing on the bride herself. If you’re looking for recommendations for great brands we love - shoot us an email!
